The GOAT BLT Sandwich Recipe

The GOAT BLT Sandwich Recipe

Crispy. Smoky. Legendary.

Applewood smoked GOAT Bacon from Smoking Goose, three sunny-side-up eggs, ripe beefsteak tomatoes, crisp romaine, radicchio, creamy mayonnaise and Green Wise Bake at Home sourdough. This is not just a BLT — this is The Greatest Of All Time.

Ingredients

  • 8–10 slices GOAT Bacon, thick-cut applewood smoked bacon
  • 1 small loaf Green Wise Bake at Home sourdough
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 large beefsteak tomatoes
  • 2 cups chopped romaine, about 1 small head
  • 1 cup thinly sliced radicchio
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Arrange bacon on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until deeply browned and crisp. Watch closely because thick-cut bacon cooks fast.
  4. While bacon bakes, slice the sourdough loaf horizontally to create a top and bottom.
  5. Toast cut sides until golden and crisp.
  6. Season tomato slices with salt and pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes to bring out flavor.
  7. In a large bowl, toss romaine and radicchio together.
  8. In a large skillet, cook eggs sunny-side up until whites are set and yolks are runny.
  9. Spread mayonnaise generously on both top and bottom bread.
  10. Build the sandwich with greens, tomatoes, a mountain of GOAT Bacon and the 3 eggs.
  11. Finish with fresh cracked pepper.
  12. Close the lid, press gently, slice and enjoy. Yolk dripping is mandatory.

Chef Notes

  • GOAT Bacon is the star.
  • Let the tomatoes breathe. Season them before building.
  • Romaine and radicchio bring crunch and bite.
  • The yolks are the sauce.
  • Plain mayo lets the ingredients shine.
  • Make it messy. That is the point.

Make It Legendary

Right before serving, drizzle the bacon with 1 teaspoon maple syrup. Not enough to taste sweet — just enough to make it unforgettable.

Yield

1 massive sandwich.
